What is Mobili-T® and what does it do?
Mobili-T® is an elegant and user-friendly device that empowers you to stick to your swallowing exercises. Until recently, this technology was only available in hospitals. But, Mobili-T® allows individuals with swallowing difficulties to benefit from biofeedback technology in the comfort of your own home—or almost anywhere.
The Mobili-T® device connects to an app that provides real-time visual feedback. This allows you to see how hard your muscles are contracting and for how long. Depending on which membership you have, you can track your progress and find out whether you’re meeting clinical targets.
How does Mobili-T® check that I'm doing my exercises correctly?
The Mobili-T® device contains surface electromyography sensors (or sEMG for short), which measure the strength of your muscle squeeze as you exercise. When your muscles contract, the biofeedback line goes up. When your muscles relax, the biofeedback line flattens.
Is Mobili-T® clinically proven to work?
Formal studies have guided every aspect of our product development. This research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and can be found on our website. We also have received informal input from many patients and clinicians. We thank them all for their valuable feedback.
The exercises included in the subscription have been clinically shown to improve aspects of the swallowing process, particularly when combined with biofeedback.
What are the Mobili-T® exercises?
Set Targets (Calibration)
The first step in each workout session is calibration, which helps to set your targets for that session.
You will need to complete this step each time you take the device off and put it back on because even slight changes in sensor placement on your muscles can make a difference. You also will need to complete this step if you take a long break.
The calibration step adjusts your targets in real time, so your workouts are always personalized.
These exercises are meant to act as a warm-up and prime your muscles for the more involved trials.
Depending on your membership, you may have access to additional exercises.
How quickly can I expect to see results?
The results you see will vary depending on why you are using Mobili-T®, the root causes of your swallowing difficulties, and what your goals are.
We recommend you stick to a daily exercise program for at least three months. We know from fitness science that muscles in the body respond to being challenged. But after a while, they also begin to adapt. Just like when we go to the gym, we have to keep on challenging our muscles to get them to keep moving to the next level.
Is Bluetooth safe?
Due to this fact, many wireless healthcare and medical devices operate on Bluetooth. Mobili-T® devices use Bluetooth Low Energy, which offers an even lower emission than standard Bluetooth.
Do I need internet access to use Mobili-T®?
You only need internet access to download the Mobili-T® app, but you don’t need the internet to workout with Mobili-T®.
Do I need a clinician to use Mobili-T®?
You don’t need a clinician to use the Mobili-T®, although we recommend it. We encourage you to work with a clinician (e.g., speech pathologist) to determine the reason for your swallowing difficulties and decide if Mobili-T® is right for you.
We also recommend using our subscription, which allows you to connect with a clinician who can remotely monitor your progress.

In short, sEMG stands for surface electromyography. It is one way to provide visual biofeedback (feedback that you can see) about what your muscles are doing.
What is your return policy for Mobili-T®?
Mobili-T devices that are undamaged, unopened, and unused can be returned for up to 30 days from the date of purchase. A credit or refund will be given when the returned product reaches our office provided all criteria for return have been met.
All returns must have a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) clearly written on the package, which you can request by contacting us. There is a 15% restocking fee for returned items that are not being exchanged and are not damaged. You are responsible for all shipping costs if True Angle is not at fault.
In the unlikely event that the Mobili-T develops a fault, please contact our customer care team and we’ll be happy to help, including providing a replacement if necessary.
Can I cancel my order before it arrives?
Once you purchase your Mobili-T®, our shipping service works hard to get it to you on time. Therefore, if you decide that you want to cancel your order (and we hope you don’t), you will need to contact us and we can talk you through it. We’ll send you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) so you can ship your order back to us, free of charge.
Where do you ship Mobili-T®?
Currently, we only deliver to customers with a shipping address in the United States of America (USA).
Is the information I enter at the checkout kept confidential?
The privacy and security of our users is of the greatest importance to us. When you purchase on our website, we don’t store your credit card details.
All transactions are secured with industry standard encryption. We don’t share your details with any third party, other than the payment provider and the warehouse that will pack and ship your order.
Is my health data stored securely and kept confidential?
Yes, your health data is always stored securely and kept confidential. When you use Mobili-T®, data about your session is sent to your phone. This information is anonymous and has no identifying information associated with it. Your data is always stored on servers that use secure socket layer (SSL) encryption.
True Angle will use anonymized data so we can monitor trends and meet the needs of our users. This is important so that we can constantly update and improve your experience. Downloading our app and letting us send your data to the servers means that if you lose or upgrade your phone or tablet, you can take your history with you. It also lets you use Mobili-T® with more than one phone or tablet.
Your anonymized data will be shared with your clinician, only once you provide him or her with the special code we sent you. The software that your clinician uses to view your progress will never have your name associated with it.
How do I purchase a Mobili-T®?
The Mobili-T® system consists of two important components: a Mobili-T® device and a Mobili-T® subscription.
- Head over to our shop page to purchase a Mobili-T® package. This is a recurring subscription. It includes a Mobili-T sensor unit (the accessory that sticks under your chin), a charging case (also doubles up as a carry case), a USB charging cable, and a 6 of 12 month supply single-use adhesives.

Does Mobili-T® work with Android?
For now, the Mobili-T® app is only available for iOS.
The app is available on Apple® devices that support Bluetooth® Low Energy. Your iPhone® must be iPhone 7 or later and have iOS 13 or above. Your iPad® must be iPad Air 2 or above and have iPadOS 13 or above.

How will my subscriptions renew?
When you select a Mobili-T® subscription, it will automatically renew on the frequenct that you purchased (6 months of 12 months). You can use your subscription account to manage, cancel, and change subscriptions.
